Default Shipping & Payment method [M2]
Hungersoft's Default Shipping & Payment method extension allows a shipping method and payment method to be pre-selected on Magento 2 checkout page.
This simple extension has easy-to-use features like:
- Admin can enable/disable pre-selection of shipping and payment method individually.
- Admin can choose which method will be auto selected.
- Admin can choose the logic for selecting the fallback method if the default one is not available.
Most Ecommerce stores offer multiple shipping and payment methods to their customers. Customers are free to choose from the available methods as per their liking and convenience. Providing multiple options is a very good practise when you are catering to a large audience.
If your orders comes mostly from certain countries then more often than not, a majority of your customers will end up using a specific payment and shipping method. Generally the most cost-effective &
trusted method gets chosen by most customer. Within a few months of operating the online store, administrators know their most widely used shipping and payment method.
The ultimate aim of an ecommerce store is convenience and speed. Every second and every click counts when it comes to placing an order on an online store.
When you know that most of your customers end-up selecting a certain payment and shipping method then why not select it by default on checkout page?
This saves most of your customers from having to select the shipping & payment method. This not only saves their precious time but also adds to their convenience by speeding up your order process.
If someone wants to use another payment or shipping method then they can of course choose another method.
Hungersoft’s Default Shipping & Payment method extension allows a shipping method and payment method to be pre-selected on Magento 2 checkout page.
The extension also provides separate settings for Shipping & Payment methods, so you are free to use one of both parts of the extension. Ie. if you want you can only configure a default shipping method and if you wish you can only configure a
default payment method. Or you can configure default shipping and payment method.
There can be cases when the method that is configured to be selected by default is not available.
For example, a certain payment method or shipping method is not available in a certain country.
The extension allows you to choose the logic for ‘Fallback method’ using which it will pre-select the next available option.
