Introduction

Easy Translator extenion allows you to translate your Magento store text from the admin area, instead of having to find and edit the right csv file. The extension can be configured at the store view level which allows you to use translations in the frontend only on selected store views. Text translations can be added per store, website or a global translation. The extension also allows you to add text translations at the module level, allowing you to translate a particular text only when the text comes from a certain module.

Installation

Web Setup Wizard

Unpack extension files: Log in to our website. Download the Base Extension. Unpack the Base extension file downloaded from our site and upload the contents of the file to the root directory of your magento installation. Unpack the purchased extension file downloaded from our site and upload the contents of the file to the root directory of your magento installation.
Go to System > Web Setup Wizard.
Select component manager to install the extension.
Enable Modules: Click on Select link on the Base Extension row(Module Name: HS_All). Click the Enable button on the menu that pops up. Next, click on the Select link on the row corresponding to the extension you downloaded (Module Name: HS_Translate).
Step 1: Readiness Check Click on the button Start Readiness Check to check you are running Magento on a compatible environment. Click Next upon completion of previous step.
Step 2: Create Backup Create a backup before you install the extension, by selecting the checkboxes against the Backup Options and clicking the button Create Backup. Click Next, upon completion.
Step 3: Enable Module Click on the button Enable.
You will see this page as your module installation is in progress. You can check for errors in the Console Log.
Module installtion complete.

Configuration

Go to Stores > Settings > Configuration > Hungersoft Extensions > Translate

General

Enabled: Select Yes/No to Enable/Disable the extension respectively. This can be configured at a store view level if you have a mutlistore setup. Disable Frontend Generation: Select Yes/No to Enable/Disable adding the text and the translation on any loaded page to the database.

Adding Translations:

Go to Content > Manage Translation(s) to edit or add new translations.
All the automatically generated translatable text that is generated on page loads, and the manually added text alongwith it's translations are displayed in this grid. Click on Add New Translation to manually add a new text and it's translation. Click on any row to edit that particular text and it's translation.
Text: Add the text you want to translate. Translated Text: Auto-filled current translation that is fetched from the translations csv's. Store View: Select the particular store view for which you want this translation to be applied. Translation: Add the new translation for the text in this field. This is the field you want to use to add your custom translation. Module: Add the module for which you want this translation to be applied. For example: module for home page is Magento_Cms, module for category and product pages is Magento_Catalog, etc. This feature only works on server side translations and doesn't work with inline Javascript based translations.
